I did this painting of an African woman from the
Turkana tribe in Kenya as a commission for a friend. The Turkana people are renowned for their beautiful
beaded African jewelry. I really enjoyed doing this embossed metal art piece and in particular painting over the beaded necklace. The paint colors came out particularly vibrant. I intend to do more paintings of women from tribes with interesting jewelry. If you would like to
